The Work Zone Flagperson in Saskatchewan – Online Course provides approximately 2 hours of self-paced theory training based on the Construction Safety Association of Saskatchewan (HCSAS) modules 1–6. It prepares participants to direct traffic safely through provincial highways, rural municipal roads, and urban work zones.

Key coverage includes:

  • Saskatchewan Traffic Safety Act and Occupational Health & Safety regulations

  • Funding traffic control fundamentals and proper use of stop/slow paddles

  • Personal protective equipment standards and flagperson attire

  • Positioning, station layout, and effective signaling

Participants must score 80% to pass (up to 3 attempts). The online module covers theory only; employer-led practical evaluation on site is required to earn the official flagperson card, valid 5 years from date of practical certification.
