Federal Vs. Provincial Requirements
Alberta is the only province that has provincial transportation requirements different than the rest of Canada for companies that only operate within the province of Alberta. But, Alberta carriers that operate in Alberta and other provinces are designated as Federal and must comply with federal legislation. Under federal legislation, trucks or truck and trailer combinations registered for a combined weight of more than 4,500 kg must comply with NSC Standards. This means that there are four main courses that need to be taken by each company:

Behaviour modification is an important element in a comprehensive safety program. With these corrective action courses, you can help stop undesired behaviours and prevent CSA violations with immediate, targeted training. The corrective action online training courses cover a wide variety of topics to re-train drivers — in less than ten minutes — on any type of violation that may occur.
NSC Compliant Program
Safety and maintenance programs are written documents that outline safe policies and procedures for a transportation company. All National Safety Code (NSC) carriers are required by law to write and implement these programs. They apply to carriers and drivers that operate:
