FAQ's

What’s the difference between COR and SECOR?

  • COR is for companies that meet or exceed the employee thresholds in their province. It requires an external audit by a certified auditor.

    • Alberta & Saskatchewan: COR applies to businesses with 11 or more employees.

    • British Columbia: COR typically applies to employers with 20 or more workers.

  • SECOR is designed for smaller companies that fall under the provincial threshold:

    • Alberta: 10 or fewer employees

    • Saskatchewan: 10 or fewer employees

    • BC: Usually under 20 employees (depends on certifying partner)

  • Both programs help businesses meet provincial safety standards and demonstrate compliance to clients and regulatory bodies.

How long does an audit take?

Audit timelines depend on your company size, number of sites, and document readiness.

  • COR audits: Usually take 5 + days depending on the company size

  • SECOR audits: Often completed in 1-2 business day

How is pricing determined?

Pricing depends on:

  • Number of employees

  • Number of locations

  • Province or certifying partner

  • Type of audit (COR, SECOR, or GAP review)

  • Timeline (standard vs rush)
