You must score a minimum 80% and complete the course within 30 days. Final certificate must be taken to a registry within 2 years.

Under the Alberta Traffic Safety Act, fully licensed drivers can accumulate up to 15 points before their licence is suspended. There is only one way to reduce demerit points on your driving record, and that is by taking an approved defensive driving course BEFORE you get 15 demerit points. You cannot reduce demerits after you go over 15. Successfully passing our online 3 demerit reduction course will mean that 3 demerit points will be removed from your driving record. You can only take the test once every 2 years. The only other way to reduce demerits is to wait for them to expire after 2 years, at which point they are removed from your driver’s licence.
This program contains audio, video, and interactive exercises. If you are looking for a comprehensive defensive driving program that also is approved for demerit reduction, then this is it. This program teaches the trademarked SAFER System of Defensive Driving.
A government certificate will be mailed to you within 3-5 business days.
Take your government certificate to a local registry office within the province of Alberta. Alberta residents are eligible for a 3 demerit reduction once every 2 years.
Non-Alberta residents can take this program, but they will not qualify to receive the 3 demerit point reduction; they only receive an online course completion certificate.
COURSE CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION:
Upon successful completion of this online course, a certificate of completion will be immediately available to download and print.
