The Lockout & Tagout in the Workplace – Online Course is a 90‑minute, self-paced training that teaches how to properly apply lockout-tagout procedures, identify hazardous energy sources, and maintain a safe zero-energy state during maintenance. Developed to meet CSA Z462 and Z460 standards for hazardous energy control, this course covers:

  • Duties of authorized and affected employees

  • Legal requirements, penalties, and corporate responsibilities

  • Types of hazardous and residual energy

  • Lockout devices, tagout practices, and group lockout methods

  • The seven critical steps of lockout/tagout procedures

  • Common errors and prevention strategies

  • Guidelines for creating and maintaining a written lockout program

Learners must score 80% or higher on the final evaluation (up to three attempts). A Certificate of Completion (wallet and printable formats) is provided immediately on passing.
